In the year 2030, production of new petrol and diesel cars has been banned in the UK bringing hope that we can reverse the impact of fossil fuels on our climate. The success was immediate. The future is greener, air is cleaner, but there was a price to pay for this wholesome win.

Fast forward to the year 2055. Throughout the country, garage forecourts are abandoned, oil canisters can be found under bridges and public conveniences, relics of old petroleum cars search the wastelands looking for their liquid gold. These once great hulks of our roads have been driven to the outskirts of our civilisation. They have made camps on the fringes of our society where they live out their remaining time hoping for a return to the ‘good old days’
